A. Restu Dwikelana

Science Communications Team

Restu has a strong interest in taxonomy and spent almost all of his time identifying various taxa on iNaturalist, which brought him to become part of the biodiversity curators and manage several observation projects related to biodiversity in Indonesia. Besides his participation in field biodiversity surveys,  he also mentor middle school students specifically in entomology for science camps for K-12 students, so they can learn to do research about biodiversity and ecology. From this activity, students gain more knowledge about the importance of the environment and have the experience to start research at the next level of education (either high school or university level). His photography style, “taxonomy photography”, is also a reflection upon his many observations and identification materials. He won several awards and accolades from various photography competitions.
